- Corvette parts made overseas can be good.
- Corvette parts made in the USA can be bad.
- C4's are a very well rounded sports car for the money.
- Fix the bare minimum and enjoy if it makes you happy.
- Restore it if it makes you happy.
- Buy a shop manual, buy another shop manual.
- C4's always look better lowered.
- C4's have the coolest gauge cluster.
- Brake jobs are easy.
- ebay can be a dumping ground for unwanted inventory.
- ebay can be good for sourcing hard to find OE parts.
- Swap meets are good for sourcing hard to find parts, but won't be around much longer if you don't stop buying everything from ebay.
- It's your car do what you want with it.
- The old guy wearing the New Balance was as cool as you at one time. He's just got a bad back from wrenching on cars and trying to get out of Corvettes.
- It's their car let them do what they want to it. Maybe say "Looks Good". They'll remember it and you won't.
- Your local Corvette shop is not out to steal from you. They are trying to exist.
- Corvettes are not practical. Neither is a 4000 sq ft house.
- At the time of this post good quality red paint is $2000/gallon or more. Your local body man is not trying to steal from you.
- ZF (for the ZF 6 spd) stands for "Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen" which translates to "Cogwheel Factory of Friedrichshafen"
- Facebook is the worst place to ask for advice.
- Do your research when purchasing weatherstripping or your doors won't shut and your roof will crack.
- Per the Corvette Black Book- At the time, the C4 rear window was the largest piece of glass ever installed on an American automobile.
- History states there are no 1983 Corvettes, yet most were built during that year.
- Don't forget to bolt your roof down.
