The front roof attaches to the bolt retainer for late '86 to '96 Corvettes.  The cap presses into place and retains the front roof attach bolt in place under the visor trim panel.

To replace these you will need to remove the upper trim covers via 2 Phillips screws allowing access to the visor nuts.  Remove visor nuts and allow visors to drop and hang.  Remove the rearview mirror screw and allow it to drop and hang.  Remove 4 Phillips screws attaching the visor trim panel and allow it to drop and hang.  You will now have access to these bolt retainers.  Reverse this procedure for re-installation.
